Oh wow! Where to start .. .. OK, I need a hip replacement, I've been limping so long (two years) that I have developed curvature of my spine and severe disc compression (I know this is partly this partly due to rugby, years in heavy engineering and age!). I can't have my hip surgery until my back is stabilised. I used to be a keen cyclist covering thousands of miles a year - at this point, I'm a wreck who can hardly stand .. I saw Mr Khurana as an NHS patient and to my delight and disbelief he understood my predicament and arranged an emergency operation at The Grange hospital. We did all the usual stuff about success rates and potential disasters but having seen the scan pictures I think we collectively resolved that there was little choice other than to proceed. That was on the Monday, on the following Wednesday I was on a bed in the hosptial and surgery went ahead the following day. There were a couple of complications and my stay was longer than expected. Regular visits from Ash (apologies or the familiarity) and his team put my mind at ease and two months on I'm delighted with the outcome, from my perspective a 99% success - I have some ongoing nerve tenderness but that is slowly reducing - in a few more weeks, I'm hopeful - and confident that this will pass and boom! 100% success. Having this surgery has opened the pathway for my hip replacement. These two operation will change my life. My goal is to get back on my bicycle. My sincere and heartfelt thanks for your understanding, your skill and the fact that you listened .. ..

Fantastic care given from the initial consultation. Dr Khurana gave me good advice and options for treatment. After an initial steroid injection did not give me adequate pain relief we decided on a micro discectomy. The whole experience was very positive and I felt listened to abs supported all the way through the process. I have had good results and am continuing to get stronger. Thank you!

Mr Ash Khurana provided a great level of care and service, and explained the details of the procedure of my operation. There was no pressure to undergo surgery, but I trusted his recommendation to go ahead. Whilst I'm still recovering my operation was a success, and I am having further treatment under Mr Ash Khurana.

Mr Khurana became my consultant following referral for a disc herniation which left me with severe pain in my leg. I was unable to stand for more than a few minutes and walking any distance became impossible. Mr Khurana ensured I was fully informed of my condition and the options I had available to me. I opted for discectomy surgery, the result of which I can only describe as miraculous! The pain I experienced before the operation was gone almost immediately, and over the course of a few weeks I became totally pain free which is still continuing 5 months later. My love of walking and hiking is back and I'm regularly walking 6 miles around the local hills and mountains. I cant express my gratitude enough for Mr Khurana and his team, for all their care and support both pre and post op.
